WELCOME TO OUTWARD BOUND

We are an educational charity that helps young people to defy limitations through learning and adventures in the wild. We challenge young people to never give up, to change their perspective and to learn the most important lesson: to believe in themselves.

Confidence, resilience and wellbeing is needed more than ever.

We're adapting our programmes so that we can keep supporting young people when they need it most.

Safety

Our long-standing reputation for safety is one of the most frequently stated reasons for using The Outward Bound Trust. We are referenced in our sector as the most experienced in our field. We pride ourselves on this and take our responsibilities seriously.

Our centres

We have six UK residential centres all in areas of outstanding natural beauty. Their location in some of the UK's wildest places is an essential part of us being able to deliver courses with a difference.

The role of the outdoors

Children and young people across the UK have had their lives turned upside down by the COVID-19 pandemic. The outdoors is vital for young people's recovery, resilience and wellbeing.

Our COVID-19 stories

We've been collecting stories from the young people we've worked with, the Outward Bound team and our wider family to see what they've been doing and how they've adapted during the COVID-19 crisis.
