Resilience
You want early careers talent who are resilient. Resilience will help them cope with change, problems and stress. In their first few years of work, your apprentices and graduates need to be willing and able to adapt to new situations. And all under the umbrella of uncertainty that comes with our economic climate. But many young people don't have the levels of resilience your organisation is hoping for. ISE research found that 67% of graduates and apprentices lacked this skill.
Working to build young people’s resilience is a core component of what we do at Outward Bound. But we know ‘resilience’ is in danger of becoming a catch all term for what young people need to do to keep moving on up in the world. So we’ve produced a report to explore what it really means to be resilient, and why it is so important for young people today.
