I was a pupil at Exmouth Secondary School and was given the opportunity to go to OBSS Aberdovey by the Devon County Council. It was a wonderful experience but I found it very strenuous as you can see by the photo the climbs up and down the hills kept me very fit. Also all the physical tasks we had to take part in, which really stretched my ability . I will never forget our PE teacher called Zimmerman who chased us down the road, while skipping, for our morning dip in the sea. All the experiences certainly set me up for life . I joined the RN as a boy entrant for 9yrs ,came out and did many jobs before becoming a mature student and qualifying as a maths master. Now 82 and taking life easy.
