Scotland’s Next Generation is a life-changing programme for disadvantaged young people in Scotland.
Through circumstances beyond their control, these young people face multiple challenges in life and don't have the financial means to access the same opportunities as their peers.
You can help disadvantaged young people develop the vital life skills they need to succeed in school, work and life. With your support they'll become strong and curious individuals, ready to contribute to their communities and wider society in Scotland.
Scotland's Next Generation will take them out of their comfort zone, journeying to places they have never been to before. They'll row across lochs and hike in the mountains. Then scramble up waterfalls and camp under the stars.
These adventures in the wild will be used to teach them the most important lesson they could ever learn: to believe in themselves.
Scotland's Next Generation is for young people aged 14-17 years old from anywhere in Scotland. These young folk would like to take part in an Outward Bound experience but need financial support to be able to.
They'll need some stamina and a basic level of fitness as there are lots of outdoor adventures during the course, including three multi-day expeditions in the Highlands.
As part of Scotland's Next Generation, they'll take part in Outward Bound's 14 Day Summit Adventure at our Loch Eil centre in the Highlands. No outdoor experience is necessary, just a willingness to get stuck in.
Before the course, they'll meet up as a group with an instructor to prepare. They also have the support of a course mentor, who will meet them before and after their course.
Donate £1,700 and you will fully fund one young person's opportunity to take part in Scotland's Next Generation.

Your nominees must be aged 14-17. You should also think that they'll be able to complete a challenging outdoor adventure course, which includes overnight expeditions in the Highlands.
The Mark Scott Leadership for Life Award
Participants take part in a 6-month programme combining a 5-day Outward Bound residential with urban-based community project work. The project is empowering young people to improve the lives of others in their local area and providing them with skills to make a positive transition from school.
